What skill level is this program for?
A: These resources were designed for coaches at all levels and types of the game. High school, pop warner, semi-pro, international community, and even flag & indoor coaches have used these programs and had success.
Now, to clear this up, the reason that's possible isn't because the resources specifically focuses on each of those types of Football.
It's because they focuses on fundamental systems that apply across the board.
As far as experience level, the majority of coaches in the program are in the early stages of their development, but I have coaches in here with 42 years of experience, college coaches, high school state championship coaches, and even a few retired NFL players who got into coaching youth programs.
I wanted this to be able to help all coaches across the world and at all levels, so I did my best to build it in a way that reflects that.
How Is This Any Better Than Clinics?
A: I love coaching clinics. They can be extremely beneficial for coaches, but there's a few major problems I see with them:
1) they usually only solve a specific problem which is very likely NOT the most pressing issue your team has. So it's easy to get distracted trying to optimize something on step 5 when you're still at step 1. Instead, you should ask “which lever, if I pull it right now, will give me the biggest bang for my buck?”
2) Many coaches mistake passive learning for real coaching development. You can attend as many clinics as you want, but if you aren't creating or doing something with the information, you're not really getting much from it.
3) At times, they may not be very practical. I love watching the elite coaches talk. It shows me exactly why they are so great...but they play a on a completely different level. A 2-3 man coaching staff must operate very differently from a 15 man staff. Coaches need practical information from someone on their level who studied the elites but then adapts and applies the information at the appropriate level.
How long do I have access to the program & when does it start?
A: Depends on what you sign up for. There are monthly or yearly options. You can cancel any time and you will lose access at the end of the billing period.
Can't I learn all of this on Youtube?
A: You can learn a lot of this on YouTube (but not all of it!!) and I am personally a big proponent of personal development through as many channels as possible, but the nature of YouTube limits the structure of the information.
The purpose of courses like this is to achieve actual results in an extremely efficient way. Letting people figure it out on their own on YouTube generally never results in actual change.
There are also a ton of things in these courses that I have spent almost a decade trying to find but couldn't. Some things are just too specific to have their own video or source.
Do you give individualized feedback?
A: Yupp, I regularly go into the community to give feedback plus you get live calls every month where you can ask me anything directly.
I personally work multiple mentors on a weekly basis so I understand the value of getting a second opinion or feedback on something I created. Because of this, personal feedback is something I will always provide because it's the FASTEST way to make progress.
The way I generally do this is to record a quick loom video (that you can watch in 2x speed) to answer specific questions.
What if I already have my own system?
A: A lot of coaches who sign up for this program already have their own system.
This membership will give you clarity in defining & optimizing your systems (game planning, play calling, player development, culture, etc.), which is the real difference maker. Those apply to every offensive system. Doesn't matter if you're air raid, wing T, spread...
AND if you're brand new, no worries, I walk through everything from scratch anyways.
What is your Football background?
A: I played D3 ball as a QB under HC Mike Drass and OC Chip Knapp at Wesley College. Since, I have played/coached professionally in 6 countries around the world: USA, Germany, Finland, Russia, Australia, & Spain. When I visit home I still play in flag leagues because I can't stay away from Football for more than a week.
Playing & coaching in Europe gave me a unique understanding of the game and how to set up all the systems I teach in a way that's effective and easy to implement.
I've seen a lot of success in my professional career in Europe and have been able to use what I've learned to help thousands of coaches across the world implement these same fundamental systems. As a bonus, my mom is officially happy that I decided to put my teaching degree to use.
